A Carol Stream man accused of stabbing his mother to death and then defiling her body with household chemicals is scheduled to stand trial this week in DuPage County. Robert R. Lyons, 39, has been in the county jail since police arrested him at Hooter’s Restaurant in Schaumburg, hours after finding the body of his mother, Linda Bolek, on the kitchen floor of her Carol Stream condominium.
