Haunted Houses/Events Chicagoween Celebration Daley Plaza becomes Franken Plaza as part of the citywide “Chicagoween” celebration. Oct. 26 – Oct. 31 Trail of Terror Chicago Park District’s half a mile haunted trail. Oct. 29 – 31 at 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. in Peterson Park, $10 Fear The Neofuturists set up a haunted house of creepy performances and strange installations created inspired by Edgar Allen Poe. Oct. 29 – 31 at 7:30 p.m.(Tours begin every 17 minutes; reservations are strong recommended.) Disturbed Described as an “Inverted Haunted House”, Oracle theatre cast members pop out of corners and doors for a horrifying spectacle based on Dante’s “Inferno”. (Shows begin every 30 minutes.) Oct. 29 – Nov. 1 at 8 -10:30 p.m., $8 Chronicles of the Cursed Claiming to be Chicago’s largest, this 20,000-square-foot haunted house promises guests a fearful night with bone-chilling monsters, ghouls, zombies, hellions and other disturbing experiences. Oct. 30 – Nov. 1, 560 W. Grand Ave, $20 Nightmare at 63rd Street Beach House Two-story haunted house promises over 10 terrifying and chilling horror scenes Oct. 29 – 30, $7 The Fear Wander through 20-rooms of freaky clowns, vampires, werewolves and monsters in Navy Pier’s Haunted House. Oct.28 – Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., $20-$25 Hallowed Halls on Stage The Barrel of Monkeys presents a full day of interactive workshop and performances at the Cultural Center. Oct. 31 at 10 – 1:30 pm Haunting in the Square The Dadio Foundation and Collaboraction Theatre Company present the first annual artistic Halloween celebration for families by day and adults by night at the historic firehouse on 459 N. Wolcott. Oct.30 – 31 13th Annual North Halsted Halloween Parade This year’s parade has a mad hatter theme hosted by Chicago LGBT community celebrity Miss Foozie. Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. (pre-parade festivities began at 4pm) at Belmont/Halsted Halloween Parties 9th Annual Black i Ball Best costume wins $1,000. DJ Matty Spins at The Wit Hotel Rooftop Oct. 31 at 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. The Coven and The Crypt Dance to DJs V’ampire and Jugular Rose Oct. 31 at 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. at The Underground Walk Of Shame After Halloween Party Faith & Whiskey wants to keep the party going with a five-hour catered drink food package post Halloween. Cash prizes will be handed out for the Best Walk of Shame Halloween Costume From The Night Before, Best Pajamas, and Best Bears Attire. Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Faith & Whiskey
