CHICAGO — Chicago Mayor Richard Daley says he had a productive meeting about youth violence with Education Secretary Arne Duncan and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. The federal officials traveled to Chicago to meet with political and education leaders to discuss youth violence in the wake of the beating death of a 16-year-old honor student. Four teens have been charged in Derrion Albert’s death, which was captured on video. Daley says he, Duncan and Holder will announce new strategies for combatting violence at a news conference later in the day. The mayor says it is time for action and he wants to get the message out that “anti-social behavior” won’t be tolerated. Duncan and Holder also plan to meet privately Wednesday with students and parents.
