A man is suing the town of Thorton claiming that when he was a 16-year-old fire cadet, he was sexually abused by the south suburb’s fire chief. Stephen J. Wragg Jr. says the abuse occurred in December of 2001. He is suing for battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He is also suing the town for negligent hiring and “failure to prevent foreseeable sexual assault” based on prior information about the fire chief.
