Police were investigating the shooting of a man in his 20s on the South Side tonight. The man, believed to be in his 20s, was shot multiple times and was found by police a little before 8:30 p.m. near 40th Street and Wentworth Avenue, police said. The man was being taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital for treatment, but police News Affairs Officer Darlene Lesniak said her office had not been informed of his condition as of about 9:30 p.m. A Chicago Fire Department spokesman did not immediately have information on the shooting. — Staff report
