It’s not finalized, but Metra riders can expect significant fare hikes under scenarios offered at today’s board meeting. The increase could be as much as 30 percent for 10-ride and monthly passes or 17 percent for one-way tickets. The agency also is considering eliminating young adult fares, rounding tickets to the nearest 25 cents and changing weekend pass.
