Carlos Boozer and Luol Deng each scored 23 points, and the Bulls escaped with an 89-80 victory over the Boston Celtics on Thursday night after blowing a 16-point lead. A proposal to move the Bartlett farmers market to a parking lot across the street from its current location at the Town Center got a mixed reaction from village officials this month. Talk of relocating the market came about in response to concerns from the owners of 2Toots Train Whistle Grill, a new restaurant that opened in Town Center last December.

Elburn-area fire extinguished

Fire crews have extinguished a major house fire outside Elburn early Friday evening. The blaze broke out about 5 p.m. in a subdivison on the 2S200 block of Willow Creek Drive, located south of the intersection of Route 47 and Main Street in Blackberry Township.
